Whether it\u2019s<br>finding accessible accommodations or inclusive activities, vacationing to another state or<br>country may seem like too much of a hassle. That is, until Wheel the World stepped onto the<br>scene. At 19, Alvaro Silberstein was involved in a car accident and paralyzed from the chest<br>down. Having always been an adventurous spirit, Silberstein was devastated to no longer be<br>able to go on the long hikes he loved. His long time best friend, Camilo Navarro, thought this<br>unacceptable, and after a trip to Patagonia, Navarro was convinced that they could find a<br>solution to Silberstein&#8217;s problem. Together the two of them developed a wheelbarrow-like<br>wheelchair for Silberstein that allowed for both of them to enjoy the national park, in spite of the<br>narrow, inaccessible paths. After opening this door for one person, the duo decided to found a<br>company that would provide this kind of service to disabled people across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since its conception in 2018, the company has committed to making travel an option for<br>everyone. With verified accessible accommodations, personalized booking options, and a real<br>person available to message with questions, Wheel the World is a top choice for disabled<br>travellers. While many people may assume that traveling is only difficult for people with mobile<br>impairments, Wheel the World knows better, \u201cwe\u2019ve always believed that accessibility is not<br>one-dimensional\u201d, said Andres Villagran, head of Wheel the Worlds marketing. Through their<br>various campaigns placing people with visual impairments at the forefront, the company is<br>ensuring that a wide variety of disabilities are recognized in their marketing. They achieve this<br>through partnerships with both cities and companies that are committed to creating<br>opportunities for the blind and visually impaired, such as Fort Lauderdale and Dot Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travel is a transformative adventure that everyone deserves to experience, and Wheel<br>the World knows this better than anyone: \u201cWe see travel as a human right\u201d said Villagran, \u201cnot<br>just because of the logistics it demands, but because of the emotional value it holds:<br>independence, connection, discovery. And when we remove barriers in travel, we often unlock<br>empathy and innovation that ripple across every part of society\u201d.
